2. Don’t quit your day job. While Bob was going to school to get his counseling degree he worked part time in a restaurant. He was a bartender in college and those skills came right back when he needed them. In one semester of bartending one night each week he made enough to pay for the next semester’s coursework. He did decide to get a student loan for one semester, but he only used part of it and was able to pay it back quickly. Once he graduated he got a job doing PRN work at a local psych hospital for his internship.
